Tina Turner tears the roof off

In 2000 at the end of her last world tour 60-year-old TINA TURNER finally threw in the towel after 40 years on the road.
It was time for a well-deserved retirement but you can't keep a good woman down for long and, with her 70th birthday just round the corner, she is back with a world tour.
Tina tore through twenty one tracks in two and a half hours with all her greatest hits on show at the 18,000 capacity United Center in Chicago.

All the biggies got an airing - Steamy Windows, River Deep Mountain High, What's Love Got To Do With it and many more.

Flanked by four sexy dancers Tina, who should really be knitting scarves for the grandchildren in front of the fire, sped round the stage like a woman half her age.

The advancing years have done little to blunt her extraordinary voice.

She belted out a thundering rendition of Nutbush City Limits singing from the middle of the audience at the end of a forty foot platform.

She then gave a gentle, acoustic rendition of BEATLES' classic Help. You will struggle to find a better sets of pipes on the entire planet.

There were costume changes galore, pyrotechnics, slightly curious interludes from a youthful dance troupe called Ninjas, smoking hot dance routines and blistering musicianship on display.

She said, "I wouldn't want to diminish my credibility by going back on the road," before embarking on this mammoth tour, which visits the UK in March and April.

She really hasn't.

Spring chickens like MADONNA and KYLIE should take note.
