Metallica, Alex Turner, Cribs and Glasvegas for first day of Leeds Festival
Metallica are set to headline the first day of the Leeds Festival tonight (August 22) with a set on the Main Stage after Tenacious D and Feeder.
The band, headliners in 1997 and 2003, will be going head-to-head with The Cribs, who are set to headline the NME/Radio 1 Stage, with Johnny Marr playing with them for the entire set. They will play after performances from the likes of Alex Turner's The Last Shadow Puppets, Conor Oberst, Adam Green and The Music.
Avenged Sevenfold, Dropkick Murphys and Plain White T's are also set to perform on the Main Stage, while The Metros will kick off the day's musical action on the NME/Radio 1 Stage at midday (BST).
