Four injured in goth knife horror
A knife attack on a group of 'alternative dressers' near Leeds last week has left four people seriously injured.
Police are still investigating the attack at Rothwell's John O'Gaunts estate in the early hours of Thursday (August 28th), which left one man with a severed ear.
A group of teenagers, said to be dressed in goth/emo clothing, were attacked after a group of boys leapt to the defence of two girls being robbed at knifepoint. All had been camping overnight at Rothwell Country Park, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
A 26-year-old man is currently in a "critical but stable" condition at Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries, including a severed ear. A 17-year-old boy suffered head injuries and is in a stable condition, while two further individuals have since been released from hospital.
A man and two youths arrested on suspicion of robbery and attempted murder remained in police custody yesterday.
It is understood that the teenage victims were 'goths and moshers'. Saturday (August 30) saw a gathering of alternative dressers gather outside Leeds Corn Exchange in a show of solidarity after the attack.
NME.COM user Sarah got in touch to tell us that "there was a gathering outside the Leeds Corn Exchange of alternative dressers to show their support and respect to those who were injured whilst trying to protect others".
