Boy George has had to cancel a performance on his latest tour as we understand that less than 100 tickets were sold for the event.


The ex Culture Club frontman was due to headline at the Portsmouth Guildhall tonight as part of his 'The Boy Is Back In Town' tour.

However, venue organisers confirmed that the date has been cancelled and that full refunds will be given to anyone with a ticket.

It appears that just 89 seats were sold the for the event, which has a capacity of 2,200, reports WENN.

The blow comes just months after the former Culture Club frontman had to cancel his US tour because officials refused to grant him a working visa.

He was on one of our local radio shows a couple of weeks ago, and walked off in a huff when asked about his drug use, which seeing how he's made it public knowledge, was a bit strange.

Why can't he just face up to it, he's had his day, and no-one is interested in him now days, and retire gracefully, leaving his songs for people to remember him and his band by.
