X Factor track tipped for success
The X Factor finalists' charity version of Mariah Carey's Hero is expected to become 2008's fastest-selling single, according to music retailers.
The track is currently the top seller at online stores Play.com and iTunes.
It was recorded for Help for Heroes, which provides support for wounded servicemen and women, and the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said: "We predict it will become the fastest-selling single of this year,"
"Single releases tend not to be such a big event these days, but this one is definitely bucking the trend."
Scott Bruton became the third act to be voted off The X Factor on Saturday, leaving the remaining nine to compete for this year's crown.
Last year's winner Leon Jackson has tipped 21-year-old Laura White to win this year's competition.
Hero topped the US Billboard chart and reached number seven in the UK when Mariah Carey originally released it in 1993.
