Slipknot claim Number One in US after recount
Slipknot have claimed the Number One spot on the US Billboard chart after a recount showed that they actually sold more records than The Game.
Initially, The Game was awarded the top position for ‘LAX’ having sold 238,285 with Slipknot in second place, just 13 units behind at 238, 272 with their fourth studio album entitled ‘All Hope Is Gone’.
But with such a close margin, a recount was carried out by SoundScan and it turns out Slipknot actually sold over a thousand albums more than The Game, and the new figures have reversed the chart positions to put Slipknot at the top and The Game in second place.
