Dr Dre's son dies, aged 20

Dr Dre's son has been found dead in his LA home, aged just 20-years-old.

Andre R Young Jr was discovered by his mother on Saturday at 10.30am, according to a spokesperson for the LA coroner.

Young had spent the previous evening with friends, with his mother telling police he had returned home after a night out around 5.30am and she had heard him in his bedroom. Police said they did not suspect foul play.

A representative for the hip-hop mogul - whose real name is Andre Young Sr - released a statement, saying: ''Dr Dre is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family's grief and privacy at this time.''

An autopsy to determine cause of death was completed on Sunday, but the results could take up to six weeks as medics await the outcome of various tests.

Andre Jr was at the heart of a paternity dispute in 1990 when his mum JENITA PORTER filed a lawsuit against the rapper for $5,000-a-month child support.

She said that although Dr Dre promised to support their son before his birth, she received only a small amount of cash during their four-year relationship.

In a legal answer to the suit, Dr. Dre, who was 25 at the time, admitted he was the father of the child but promised to pay only $500-a-month in support.
