Britney Spears to play Big Weekend?

Britney Spears could play at Radio 1's Big Weekend this year.

The pop princess - who is bringing her Circus tour to the UK in June - has been approached about playing at the show in May, reports The Sun.

A source said: "Everyone's got their fingers crossed that Britney will come on board."

If the Womanizer singer does sign up for the event in Swindon, she would join the likes of Snow Patrol on the bill.

Radio 1's Big Weekend is due to take place in Swindon on May 9 and 10.

Britney, whose tour is currently in Toronto, will perform at the O2 Arena from June 3 to June 14.
